I went to Walmart and bought a piece of plastic that was just a bit bigger than our dining room table. I bought the thicker clear plastic so it would not tear.
I put it on our table and inserted maps, charts, time lines, anatomy and biology pictures, etc under it. It is a great way to learn geography, history, science, and any other rote memorization that needs to be done.
As often as I can, I use daily life to incorporate school, managing time wisely so we have free time to do other fun things.
I cannot take credit for this idea. Debbie Pearl is a veteran homeschooler who shared this idea first.
